Your selected question

How do I enter letters into my terminal?

You may need to enter letters into your terminal when you're given an authorisation code consisting of both numbers and letters.

Some keys on the PDQ have letters allocated to them:

• To enter the left-most letter displayed for that key, press that key and then the MENU key
• To enter the middle letter displayed for that key, press that key and then the MENU key twice
• To enter the right-most letter displayed for that key, press that key and then the MENU key three times

For example, to enter the letters ‘A B C'

• To enter ‘A' press the number 2 key and then press the MENU key once
• To enter ‘B' press the number 2 key and then press the MENU key twice
• To enter ‘C' press the number 2 key and then press the MENU key three times
