How do Balance Transfers work?
If you transfer a credit card balance to Barclaycard, you can enjoy a competitive balance transfer rate. Balance transfers are usually subject to a handling charge of 2.5%. We will make any handling charges clear to you in the terms and conditions accompanying an offer made to you.
When you make a payment to your account, it will go towards paying off your balance transfer first, which means any further purchases you make will be charged at your standard APR. Your repayments will not start reducing the amount you spend on the card until the transferred balance has been cleared.
