Contactless payment terminals are predominantly in London. Will it be a regional roll out and if not, why not?
Contactless payment terminals have launched in London and the South East as that is where the majority of contactless merchants and terminal are located. However anyone in the UK will be welcome to purchase an NFC phone (available online), and the payment technology will work anywhere across the UK where the merchant supports contactless. For example, you could use this at National Trust branches, Co-op, Prêt A Manger, a number of Wilkinsons stores, EAT, and Yo! Sushi to name a few.
